Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine met Alfred Gusenbauer, Federal Chancellor of the Austrian Republic.
At the beginning of the meeting, Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, greeted the distinguished guest at the Ukrainian Parliament.
"Ukraine and Austria have a high level of bilateral relations, especially in the economic sector. Among the member States of the European Union, Ukraine has the most efficient economic dialogue with Austrian Republic. In due time, Austrian companies began to open up Ukrainian market and its possibilities to other EU member States. Enhancement and development of bilateral relations is of vital importance for Ukraine", - stated Arseniy Yatseniuk.
In his turn, Alfred Gusenbauer, Federal Chancellor of the Austrian Republic, expressed his gratitude to the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for an opportunity to have a meeting. He stated that preparation to "Euro-2012" was also one of the main subjects of negotiations between Ukraine and Austria.
"Our negotiations concern holding of European Football Championship-2012 in Ukraine. I would like to assure you that Austria is willing to assist Ukraine during the entire process of preparation", - stated Alfred Gusenbauer. Moreover, Austrian Government is willing to share relevant experience, and render assistance in the development of hotel infrastructure and personnel training.
The Federal Chancellor of the Austrian Republic assured the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine that his State would support Ukraine in the course of negotiations with the European Union concerning the New Extended Treaty.
In his turn, Arseniy Yatseniuk expressed his gratitude to Alfred Gusenbauer for all-round support of Ukraine, and underscored that Austrian experience would be of great significance for the preparation to "Euro-2012".
The Parties also discussed political situation at the Austrian parliament that is very similar to the latest events at The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The Federal Chancellor invited Arseniy Yatseniuk to make a visit to Austrian Republic in the nearest time.
